POSITION SUMMARY:
The Clinician will provide weekly individual therapy to clients diagnosed with moderate to server menta health diagnosis’s while providing ongoing with both internal and external treatment team members that involve collaborating with Program Managers, Residential Counselors, and behavioral health county case managers and clinicians. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Meet with clients as needed based on clinical assessment of clients need.
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on Dept of healthcare standards, clinical experience, and knowledge.
- Facilitate weekly group therapy sessions with assigned facility.
- Complete progress notes for all assigned clients based on individual sessions, group sessions, crisis intervention.
- Perform individual counseling and crisis interventions.
- Maintains an awareness of applicable laws, regulations, and licensing requirements as they relate to client documentation; Mandate reporting when applicable to APS/PD
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be registered with the California board of behavioral sciences (BBS) as an AMFT and/or ACSW.
- CPR/First Aid/BLS certification.
- Experience working in the adult residential care industry preferred.
- At least two (2) year of Mental Health experience preferred.
- Knowledge of psychiatric illness and treatment. • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
- • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work with individuals and groups.
- • Highly organized and detail oriented, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to flex work hours as needed.
- Willing to work some weekends and overnight shift.
- Possess strong interpersonal leadership, analytic, and problem-solving skills. • CCL approved FBI and DOJ criminal background clearances.
- • CPR/First Aid/BLS certification
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to climb stairs multiple times a day and be able to lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to sit, rise, kneel, squat, twist, pull bend multiple times a day.
- Ability to walk with items in hand, grasp and reach as needed.
- Ability to perform with repetitive maneuvers and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work in an office environment.
